I went to Hamburg in September in an attempt to avoid the hot European summer – and it did not disappoint! It was the perfect city to wander around, see the mixture of industry in HafenCity and the more classical neo-renaissance Rathaus in the centre.  The highlights were definitely Miniatur Wunderland and the Kunsthalle!
