Another day trip from Queenstown that I’d always recommend (but especially to LOTR fans) is Glenorchy. With a beautiful view of the lake, as well as the surrounding mountains, it’s a stunning landscape. Complete with lagoon, lake and rivers, the waterscapes can’t fail to impress.
