I have been to Scotland’s capital only a handful of times in my life, despite having access to (almost) direct train services. It is also stunning in a understated way – it is not like the classical cities of Vienna, Rome and Paris. It is an evolving city too, with new architecture merging with the old, grey stones of the past. These photos are taken from my most recent trip to Edinburgh in June 2015:
